It’s all in your mind…
It’s no secret that our minds are so very powerful and science has shown that we’re only using a small percentage (around 10%, actually) of our brains to function at a high level of awareness as a human species…so what’s the other 90% doing? It’s your subconscious mind, working overtime to consolidate, file away, sort through and dissect your life’s experiences up to this point.
I think it’s safe to assume that most of us wouldn’t go out of our way to harm ourselves physically on an intentional basis, right? But it’s also safe to say that many of us walk around harming ourselves mentally on a daily basis by the way we speak to and about ourselves and others as well as how we treat ourselves when we cut ourselves off from the good that life has to offer us.
Ladies and gentlemen, our minds are EQUALLY important to keep healthy and balanced as much as our physical bodies!
Ever felt “off” or “disconnected” from yourself? Many of us have been taught by life and our experiences that it’s normal to walk around feeling this way leaving us to overlook signs that our minds or our physical bodies are trying to give us that something needs attention. This most basic beginning is a breeding ground for illness and discomfort!
A dear mentor of mine, Jeff Levine, notes that “the issue is in the tissue”…our physical bodies can easily hold onto emotions, pent-up negativity and unwanted anxieties and accumulate this mind-cluttering “gunk”, dragging us down and leaving us feeling much lesser than we deserve to. Our bodies and minds need the chance to release the emotional, mental or even spiritual stuff that doesn’t serve our best interest! When we can let go of those old energies, we can let our bodies and our minds open up to do the healing necessary to see us through any dis-ease and ailment and truly enjoy and appreciate our lives and our experiences!
So one key to letting the old mental cobwebs go is to follow the old adage “slow down to speed up”. When we take the time to decelerate our brainwaves in a healthy, loving and nurturing environment, we give ourselves the gift of clarity and renewal…everything becomes more efficient and productive with less effort when we open up and let go of burdensome thinking and actions!

30 minute foot soak serving to detoxify the body safely and gently, helping to relieve joint discomfort, arthritic conditions and neutralizing the body to allow it to function more efficiently.
